MNPSC Public speaking 2017

Staring on Saturday 25th November, The Malaysian National Public Speaking Competition (MNPSC) was held at Honsbridge. The aim was to discover talented speakers that can deliver various topics eloquently. The MNPSC is overseen by Mr Bakhtiar.

The MNPSC had three preliminary rounds on Saturday and those who qualified were qualified to enter the Quarterfinals. This competition was divided into Seniors and Juniors.

The Seniors were represented by Kevin, Nisha, Rachel and Hariz. While the Juniors were represented by Anderson and Matthew.

In all three preliminary rounds, everyone was qualified to the Quarterfinals except Hariz.
The next day, the Honnets went through the Quarterfinal, Semi-final and Final rounds. In the Finals, the Juniors were given ‘My Aspirations’ as their topic while the Senior spoke about the topic of ‘Once Upon A Time…’
In the end Kevin came 1st as a Senior while Matthew came 3rd as a Junior speaker.

It was a tough competition but despite the struggles, the Honnets came through amazingly with their determination and wit.
