HONSBRIDGE’S GOT TALENT!

Image
Just because Honsbridge produce the best and brightest kids, doesn’t mean the school is lacking great talent! This 28 th April 2017, Honsbridge is putting a spotlight on the Honnets by hosting her own Talent Show. Honnets from all over Honsbridge showcase their talents in music, performance, comedy, indie, comedy and wushu. The judges who presided over these talents are Mr Dom, Mr Bakhtiar, Mrs Pat, Mr Leong and Ms Izyani. The Honnets have been practicing for weeks, most of their time teaming up with their fellow Honnets, to prepare for their auditions. Their collaboration together proved that teamwork makes talent work. In their auditions, the Honnets uses a variety of instruments such as keyboards, violins, ukuleles, and guitars to play a variety of modern hits by singers such as Selena Gomez and classics such as Fools Rush In. They also act out some famous scenes from various movies such as Titanic. These and many other showcases by our multi-talented Honnets.

WHAT HONSBRIDGE MAKE

It’s Teacher’s Day, and Honsbridge wishes to remind you all of the sacrifices teachers have made to bring out the best in Honnets. Now, we could’ve scour the ‘Net looking for cliched words of wisdom by teachers about teaching. Or we could introduce you to one particular teacher named Taylor Mali who, a decade ago, wrote a slam poet about the experiences and sacrifices teachers have gone through to bring out the best in kids, called ‘What Teachers Make’: He says the problem with teachers is What’s a kid going to learn from someone who decided his best option in life was to become a teacher? He reminds the other dinner guests that it’s true what they say about teachers: Those who can, do; those who can’t, teach. I decide to bite my tongue instead of his and resist the temptation to remind the dinner guests that it’s also true what they say about some people. Because we’re eating, after all, and this is polite conversation. I mean, you’re a teacher. Be hone

Ever wanted a better future your children? Bless them with more career opportunities and more chances to work in other countries, thus ensuring a better life anywhere in the globe? Then you might consider enrolling your child into IGCSE. What is about the IGCSE that stands out from all other exam certificates out there in Malaysia, especially SPM? Let’s find out. The International General Certificate of Secondary Education or IGCSE is an international version of the UK GCSE. It was introduced into the UK in 1988 to replace the O-Level and CSE examinations. The GSCE functions almost like the SPM in Malaysia. Secondary school students in the UK taking GCSE are given exams based on subjects such as English, Mathematics and Science among others. The IGCSE in Malaysia includes more local subjects such as the Malay Language. The SPM is local equivalent to the British  GCSE , and provides the opportunity for Malaysians to continue their studies to pre-university level.
