Prosperous Chinese New Year 2010

Hello One and all,

It's a brand new year in just under 10 days. Yes, that is right! For the chinese, we bring in 2010 on the 14 Feb 2010. It is the year of the Tiger! Chinese new year lasts for 14 days, so we have plenty of time to exchange well wishes and foodies with families and friends.

Chinese new year brings back mixed experiences to me, as i have celebrated chinese year year in England and the atmosphere there was just unlike at home. Back in Stevenage, England where i worked at GlaxoSmithKline, i used to organise huge Chinese New Year Dinner for my collegues in a local chinese restaurant! When meeting has to do with food, there was always a huge turnout. One of funniest moment has to be when we all Yam Seng together! The host was in fact the restuarant manager of Peking Chef in Harpenden. If the video does play, do turn down the volume as it really gets too loud. I apologise for that :)

At Honsbridge, our students are busy preparing for the special event, " Twin Happiness" on the 27th Feb 2010, Saturday. As the name suggests, we are celebrating both the Year of Tiger and the Valentine's Day. We look forward to welcoming our parents, students and guests to join us at the " Twin Happiness", details to follow, please visit us again for more information.

So there, i wish everyone a fantastic new year of success, good health and happiness. For all our teachers and students, we will also be getting ready for the O Level exams in both June and Nov. Let us make 2010 a year like no other, set your goals and dont't miss them :)

Emma for Honsbridge :)
